Will you swim with the Big Fish in an increasingly smaller pond on New Years Eve?
I do believe that embracing the positive side of Neptune in Pisces in the years ahead can ameliorate the abrupt and abrasive changes occuring as a result of the Uranus Pluto square, but it is a cautionary tale, because it is so easy to slip into the problematic side of Neptune. In a symbolic way it is similar to a person numbing the pain of difficulty in life, with alcohol and medication, masking real life problems, or ignoring them until they get worse.
As a collective we are so good at this kind of thing, living as we do in so many ways that are unsustainable. Individually, we mere mortals are so good at this too, aren't we? In a world where fixing today's debt problems means borrowing ever greater amounts. Where printing more paper currency to stimulate the economy guarantees that the ingredients for future systemic failure are baked into the cake.
We have a real Neptunian problem today with our dependency on Crude Oil, thinking that we can go on living as we do, racing towards the brick wall of inadequate future supply. In a supposedly recessionary post crash world, how is it that the price of Crude Oil is still around $100 US per barrel? And how high will the price of Oil go, if the economy stabilizes and begins to grow again, which is opposite to what many of the pundits are saying.
Something else is slipping through our fingers too. The purchasing power of paper currency keeps falling. With Central Bankers around the world bent on saving the status quo, bailing out countries, saving them from default. It's working, isn't it? But the problems don't go away, do they? They are just postponed to a later date. So the jets keep flying, the cement trucks keep on rolling, and the people are happy because they can go on driving to and from work, heating their homes, and continuing their pursuit of happiness. Depressing isn't it?
Sorry, I forgot to talk about the positive, angelic side of Neptune, the one where you love your neighbour, support those that are less fortunate than you, and have endless amounts of empathy and compassion. Yes, we will need all of those things, today, tomorrow and especially when Neptune leaves Pisces and the Oil has all but disappeared.
Nice one !
